Phil Snapp started writing electronic music in 2001 when he began studying psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. When CNET still had download.com he was fortunate enough to be part of a unique time for independent producers. He gained the attention of the editors, became an editors choice and had download numbers putting him on the internet charts with names such as RJD2, phatboy slim, aphex twin and many others of the like. As far fetched as this might sound, it happened. Phil Snapp went on to play drums in The Discordian Society, and The Materia Project who opened for bands such as EOTO (String Cheese Incident), The Gin Blossoms, DJ Williams, Particle, Jamie McLean, and many others. Here is a sample of the electronic music he made during the 00's.
