Soundtrack For Antarctica is:

Soundtrack For Antarctica was founded in 2008, when guitarist, singer, and songwriter was driving down mainstreet in his hometown of Vancouver, WA. He noticed a homeless dude on the side of the street with a sign that said "will play bass for food." And so it was that Soundtrack For Antarctica was formed.


The band also added conspiracy theorist Carl Stevens, and ultimate ladies man, Carlos Smith to round out the line up. In the summer of 2009, it became painfully obvious that the band was too good to go un-recorded, so Joe approached Andrew Young, owner of Break of Day Records, with the concept. It was before Joe knew Carlos, so Andrew did the drums on eight songs. Carlos got involved about halfway through the recording, recording the drums for "The Perpertrators". Earlier...well...much earlier, Dax Anders did the drums for Werefox, the closing track.


Asbridge and SHBP threw down the bass and guitar for all of the songs, and Asbridge put down the vocals. Jason Smith provided guest vocals on Attack of the Vicious Nuclear Whales and I Loved You When I Wanted to. Aaron Costello provided guest vocals on "Werefox". The album was mixed and mastered by Kevin Nettleingham of Nettleingham in Vancouver.
