Song is released for big hiphop protest on premier music site. Listed in hiphop genre. Artist protesting artists like Kid Rock and others who are at the time labeling rock songs as rap. Protest goes viral, chaos ensues, song rises up hiphop charts. Jealous artists complain that FT is getting too popular. Head of artist community exec removes song from FT's page, ending the protest.

FT was approached by the top promoter on the large indie site because his song had debuted at #1. Promoter promised him serious new exposure. A day or so later, promoter revealed that his trick involved some combination of checking boxes he learned from upper management of the site. FT has ethics, he was against this sort of thing. For awhile he was in turmoil about disclosing what happened as he dropped the promoter. Then he decided to tell all in this song.
