SuperCoil is a dynamic musical initiative by long time Burlington, Ontario raised friends and musicians, Randy James (drums), Adam Martin (guitar) and Warren Jones (vocals) - each bringing their 25 years of musical experience to the newly formed group. The 3 share their humble beginnings as a touring band called ""DAGGAR"" when, at age 19, they embarked on their first of many road trips, playing across parts of Canada.

Today, they have come full circle to rebrand the project as SuperCoil, which is a term used to describe the twisting tension in a strand of DNA but can equally be used to describe the power that fuels this groups collective sound. SuperCoil has begun crafting songs which burst with energy, working as a writing trio, they continue to explore their roots and share a kinetic musical connection just like that of the garage days of their youth. Ben Huband is a welcome addition to the core group. Adding his bass styling and experience to round out the band.

No stranger to the big and small stage, each member has individually worked in tributes to Queen, Santana, Tom Petty and have played many concerts from the likes of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to the Niagara Wine Festival and countless venues in between.

Adam Martin is an accomplished guitarist playing in concert with symphonies and at festivals the world over. Adam confesses that his love is still with playing and writing original music and has found himself enjoying the opportunity to play with his boyhood mates. ""It's really been a long time since I've produced my own songs and I realize now that my place is with Randy and Warren, creating music like we did in Randy's basement as kids."" He, being the drummer always had the place we could play.

Randy too has spent the past 20 years touring across North america in various acts. ""We used to be experimental and fantastic as kids and that's what we are finding ourselves doing now,"" says Randy. ""But this time with experience and authority to back it up - not to mention better equipment. We have a natural chemistry that has always allowed us to work as group and to really excel as individual artists too.""

Warren has never stopped performing since those days either. With many years of touring under his belt singing, playing guitar and percussion around the four corners of the country. ""We're finding that not many new bands are playing the musical styles that we played back in the mid 80's and early 90's. But there are a lot of people our age who want to hear those styles - so we are here to fill that void left by such bands as Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and more recently Stone Temple Pilots, to name a few,"" says Warren affectionately.

The trio has teamed up with Ben Huband on bass who has had many years experience playing across Canada, and the U.S. - most recently sitting in on recording sessions with Randy's original projects. ""We have a great groove together,"" says Randy. ""Ben really brings out the John Bonham in me and I like that. I hope that's what comes out in the music too.""

The 4 members are dedicating their talents to this project which is sure to please audiences and critics of all ages. You can hear their combined talent level in the songs that they have already created in the relatively short time span since their new inception, and they plan to continue to create in the future as well, as long as there is a high demand for their brand of rock music.

""The music we create has a wonderful palatable tension to it - much like a SuperCoil"", says Randy. ""We combine technically challenging rhythms with pop inspired melodies and anthemic choruses. We imagine the songs being heralded by fans with lighters lit and held high. Being from a generation that might carry a lighter, nowadays, it might be a lighter app - but that will do just the same.""

Hit The Ground Running Hit The Ground Running by Supercoil is an electric force coming across my brain as I listen. The rhythm reminds of Led Zep the way it sets and dominates the pace. There were a lot of unexpected elements in the music here. To go along with the juicy backing, the vocals are developed and may end up being the strength of this band. It is a heavy, flowing song, and then ends with a soft, fitting whisper. I listen to a lot of indie music and it's not often I hear an overall sound as original as
