The legend begins

From out of the woods arise the sounds of battle. The cries of the dying and the shouting of the victorious can be heard for miles. The acrid smell of sorcery and blood taint the air. Beware for this has been foretold in tales for centuries. Strap on your enchanted plate mail and raise your +1 into the air in a salute. The Gnome Sorcery Federation has arrived. Prepare to be ENSORCELLED!

Formed in September of 2005 the GSF is out to destroy the standards of the Portland rock scene. Theyve all been in bands prior to this that were cut short because of the usual ego trip clashes and politics. Quickly becoming sick of other peoples attitudes they decided to get together and start our own group. The idea was to have fun and not set limits for themselves. Everyone in the band has their input and they all get to play what they want. It makes for some outlandish sounding tunes that theyre all very happy with.

At this point The GSF is playing an frantic collage of speed metal, hardcore punk, surf, jazz, noise and really anything they damn well please! With influences that know no bounds and very pretty widely from Iron Maiden, to Buddy Guy, to the Bad Brains, to Earth Wind & Fire etc etc Their goal is to stick to their ideals of artistic integrity, originality, and chaotic fun while hammering out a diehard following and having a blast along the way. Something that has been difficult with previous groups but is now as simple as taking that next breath.
