Bio:
“The Longshots were formed in Leeds in the summer of 2002, as the brain-child of Sy Pinkeye, the baby-faced guitar whirlwind, and Deany Dean, a drum smashing octopus of fury. They wanted to create something unique in a scene of copycats and imitators, so they ripped off some riffs and began to form a band. The aim was to write songs that kids could jump up and down to, cars could be driven fast to, children could be conceived to and strippers could dance to. So was it evil genius or just fate that they enlisted the abilities of Nij, a walking mosh pit, and Stevie D, the six-stringed heartbreaker? I don't know, but i do know it was a wise choice as each member added their own individualism to the band capturing the spirit of rock 'n' roll, the energy of punk rock and the attitude of a blazing riot. On stage they perform short, sharp sets that are the musical equivalent of the one-inch-punch. Off-stage, any sane individual with a daughter above or nearing the age of consent should take out an injunction order as soon as possible. These guys shouldn't be let within one mile of any breathing, or still slightly warm, female. They are now on a run-away rock 'n' rollercoaster, taking loud guitars, beer and bad taste out of their sleepy little home town, careering ever onwards to an unknown destination. All are welcome on the ride. All are welcome in Longshot City""
