Rick Adams (lead vocals/guitar) born and raised in Moorhead, MN. He started his music career 20 years ago. In 1987, Adams was offered a job with a Nashville recording band, Burbank Station. During his 6 years with the group they charted 4 songs on the national charts with an independent label. Their last single “Angel Cries” peaked at #44 on the Cashbox charts. He was hired as the featured singer in the house band at “Billy Bobs Texas Nights” in the Mississippi Live entertainment complex in Minneapolis, MN after that he was hired into the house band at “Gatlins” in the “Mall of America” in Bloomington, MN until 1994 when the Roosters broke out of their shells. He possesses very strong vocals with a knack for capturing the emotions of a song in his delivery.
When Rick is not performing for his many adoring fans, don't be surprised to find him trading his cowboy hat for baseball cap and cruising around the area on his motorcycle.
Rick seeks every opportunity to spend time with his family. With his demanding schedule and frequent engagements, he is thankful for their love and support.
Rick Runde (vocals/bass) Feeling cooped up at the age of 20, this ""Rooster"" left his desk job as a pre-graphic artist to pursue a musical career. Originally from LaMyra, WI, this former ""Lion"" started his musical history at the age of 10 with the trombone. Rick also plays the banjo as well as the saxophone. In 1984, he formed a band called ""Panama,"" which became one of the most sought after show bands in the Midwest. In 1991, he spent the year as part of the house band at the Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rick’s experience as an energetic showman comes through in their live performances.
Rick Runde is more than just a talented bass player and singer, he is also a very gifted songwriter. On their latest work ""SORRY BOUT THE MESS"", it was Rick who penned the first track entitled ""Road Trip"". If you've seen the Roosters live, you may very well have heard another of his originals, ""She's Wearing Blue Tonight"" as it is still their most requested song.
Mike Anderson started playing guitar when he was 11 years old. He played his first professional job at the age of 12, playing in a family band with his mother, Char, and brother, Dave, up through high school. After graduating from high school, Mike joined various road bands. His travels have taken him throughout the Midwest, as far south as Oklahoma, and as far north as Anchorage, Alaska. He has had many opportunities to open for such big name artists as Merle Haggard and Brooks & Dunn.
When he's not onstage, Mike can be found working for Waters Construction or enjoying time with friends and family in the lakes area. An enthusiastic sportsman, Mike can be sure to have a tale or two of time spent hunting or fishing - two of his favorite pastimes.
Mike's love of music ranges from classic and top 40 country to classic rock. His goal is to provide high energy musical entertainment that can be enjoyed by all ages and musical tastes.
A Felton, MN native, Dave Anderson has been playing in bands most of his life, starting with his mother, Char, and his brother, Mike. During the eighties, with his uncle Loren Willits of the Sheyenne River Band, played all over the Upper Midwest and has even been on national tours with The Ray Coble Show, out of Nashville.
Dave has had the opportunity to work with many talented musicians in his career, including the Gairrett Brothers in Montana. He has also done session work in Jester Studios in Billings and Cactus Recording in Muschels Shoals, AL.
