Born out of the internationally known art scene in DUMBO, VIAL is a hard-edged brand of Brooklyn rock that sets itself apart from the pack. VIAL is a four-piece reminiscent of late 70’s and early 80’s punk, new wave and metal. Dubbed “bombshell rock” VIAL is a reflection of the raw, industrial area where the band lives, works and plays.
And now first the time ever, this sound is bottled for your approval. Their debut cd, “NYV” captures the high energy, explosive, refreshingly original sound of Brooklyn’s underground rock experience. Discover the sound the New York underground scene has known for years.
Fronted by singer/songwriters Tammy Lindley on vocals and Aramis Estevez on guitar and vocals help create VIAL’s distinct sound; songs that are short but sweet, heavy with memorable hooks and choruses. The band combines Aramis’ crunchy and catchy guitar with soaring rock vocals and a rhythm section fusion of badass beats from Steven Krause and furiously flowing bass of Daniel Starling.
Vial’s music and members are featured prominently in the recently released documentary of the Brooklyn artist community entitled “Between the Bridges”, 2005 Grand Prize winner of the Malibu Film Festival. The movie follows the trials and tribulations of a group of young artists struggling to create their own community—Down Under (the) Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO).
“Soaring vocal lines float effortlessly above a bed of solid rock, The music and voices interact with a chemistry that many bands seek but few are able to attain. VIAL's sound reflects the spirit of New York City's ever-changing rock scene.”
