With his highly anticipated first studio release, Some Other Kinda Love, David Chin is bringing the theatrics back into music.
From its’ intricate intro to the very last track, the album plays out like a full-length feature film. Each song has been strategically placed to carry the audience through the ride of newfound love.
The first track is a highly detailed interlude that transforms listeners to viewers as it literally sets up the audience for a true moviegoer experience. Deliberately following is the album title track, Some Other Kinda Love (Story) which serves as somewhat of a prelude to the CD, undoubtedly foreshadowing its’ own ending.
His songs manage to carry listeners through the highs and lows of the rollercoaster that is love. Listeners can follow along from love at first sight, cry through its’ climatic quarrels, and then sadly witness its inevitable demise.
This CD is not merely just another addition to a record collection, but it is more so a recollection of a man who has been the main character in his own movie. David himself has lived out many of the moments on this CD; every song coming together in summation of his past experiences in and out of relationships.
Upon listening many will no doubt be hard pressed not to walk away without relating to a few of the songs on this album if not all. Some Other Kinda Love is an age-old story told in the voice of a visionary.
