Formed in November of 2005, Blistur has developed quite a resume’ in a short 2 1/2 years. The Jacksonville, FL based group has already compiled close to 30 original songs and performed at marquis venues and events including:

Additionally, the band has captured other coveted events and venues regionally such as the Jacksonville Beach Dancing in the Streets Festival and Freebird Live. After performing a concert on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten with Joe Bonamassa in January 2007, they have since returned to complete their full length CD at Skull Island Studios and headline their own show in support of radio airplay at 91.9 FM – “Island 92”.
Their debut 4 song EP, “Before There Were Seasons” was released on February 14, 2007 and has received excellent reviews from major music industry outlets:
“…Torn from the same metal-studded page as Staind, Fuel and ""Enter Sandman""-era Metallica, Florida's Blistür has the bile and the bite of the genre down…”
“…if this release is any indication of what their full-length has in store, there are a plenty more surprises ahead.” – James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
“Got the Blistür Music. Sounds awesome. Listened all the way through 3 or 4 times then immediately connected with my colleagues at MTV, VH-1, and URGE to make sure MTV Networks gets in on the ground floor as this band breaks large.” - Hal Hassall, Director of Convergence, CMT Digital Media and Music, MTV Networks.
“We tested “See You Smile” with our national radio listener fanbase and discovered that both men and women love this song after just one listen. When I see women responding to a rock song like this I start thinking about success stories like Hinder and Nickelback....” - Chris Hensley, President, Music Disc-covery.com
Songs from the debut EP are receiving airplay at Clear Channel’s 96.7 “The Buzzard” in Greenville, South Carolina, 88.5 WFCF in St. Augustine, Florida, 91.9 FM “Island 92 Radio” in St. Maarten. Requests for the band at “The Buzzard” may lead to expansion into other Clear Channel markets such as Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, Ga. Two of Blistur’s videos were submitted into a nationwide contest sponsored by Epic Records and reached #3 and #10 out of 988 videos in the rock category.
Half million hits at blistur.com, over 29,000 myspace friends and growing and already in the fourth production run of their full length CD released August 31, 2007, this band continues to move forward at a “Blisturing” pace.
