Hayze, an Ipswich based Rock five piece comprising Pete Thompson on Guitar and Vocals, Jim Newstead on Drums, Jamie Shields on Bass, Powers on Guitar and Collie Poole on Vocals.
A band born out of a love for good, good music, Hayze is a melting pot of ideas, styles and influences. The band has been touring the length and breadth of the UK for the last 6 years. Regulars on the London circuit, they have performed at the Camden Barfly, Betsy Trotwood, Upstairs @ The Garage, Turnmills and Purple Turtle - all to appreciative crowds. They have also undertaken several UK tours taking in Bath, Manchester, Liverpool, Norwich, Hull, Bradford and Leeds, and also play regularly in their home town, Ipswich.
“They’re a no nonsense rock band” says Pete Maher, the guy behind giving Hayze their big sound on their latest EP’s. “They play balls to the wall rock ‘n’ roll and Pete’s vocals have shades of Pete Shelley and Liam Gallagher in them – it’s rock ‘n’roll done properly!”
Between 2002 and 2005, the band released 3 E.P's and in 2006 they released the album In The Box Seat on their own label. All have gone down well with the critics. The EP ""What Goes Around Comes Around"" was released in February 2007.
Hayze have just released their new EP entitled 'We the People' that is available now
