Grovesnor formed when Rob Smoughton (former Hot Chip Drummer) went solo and started writing music inspired by late 70s artists such as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Steely Dan. He added a love of synth pop and started performing live to rave response. The live band has since expanded to include Boyce K and Sven Groor and more recently new additions Jan Prawn on Drums and Ed Piano on well Piano.
