Based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Chris Koelma is an experienced and professional bass guitarist and tutor. Currently studying a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Teaching (major in music) at university, Chris has a keen passion for the language of music and its potential to transform individuals. He has performed with a variety of artists such as Marty Simpson, Dale Willis (Sydney) and Shane Fritsch (Sydney) as well as a number of local artists. Chris has also just completed his first solo album featuring his compositions for solo bass as well as jazz/funk/fusion pieces with his band. As a solo artist Chris has supported Diesel and been featured at festivals and local events. Chris has also been involved in a number of recording sessions with artists such as Kelvin Brown (Adelaide), Shane Fritsch (Sydney), Amanda Stevens (Sydney) and Nick and Liesl (Central Coast). Chris is now employed at Terrigal Uniting Church as music coordinator. ""I love music, not because what it does for me, but what it does for others..."".
