Behold – Gillmore is here!

We are five hansom (not) devil-worshippers (not) from the town of Turku, Finland.

Gillmore is a fairly young band. In the year 2005, after some minor line-up changes, the band now known as Gillmore rehearsed for the first time. Even though it never was an intention to play only covers, that was the case for the first months. We raped songs from Dio to Alice in Chains with equal passion. One drunken Saturday we just had enough, let’s make some original metal tunes or call it a day. The choice was easy, and to our surprise we soon had a handful of songs to be proud of.

Mr 50/50, Sorrow and Crucifictive were soon followed by tunes like H.E.L.L., The Mythos of Baphomet, Hearts Unite and Rigor Mortis of Souls. The style was at first more of a rockish metal, then evolving to melodic hard rock spiced with a pinch of testosterone, and finally becoming what it is today, aggressive metal, combining 80’s Trash and Speed Metal with modern influences. Songs like Farce of Nature, The Calling, Sea of Brutality, Crush'n'Grind, Silhouette of Satan and Under the Flag of Blood are proof of that.

2006 the band made its first demo-ep called “The Demon Archives” .

2007 the recordings started for our upcoming EP “Rigor Mortis of Souls”.

The promo-single ""Farce of Nature"" was released in June 2007.

The EP ""Rigor Mortis of Souls"" was officially released in January 2008.

Poison Tree Records released the EP in July 2008 in iTunes and other digital outlets.

Sami and Peke says goodbye!

After some soul-searching Sami and Peke decided to leave the Gillmore family in lack of motivation and time. We hope them all the best in the future.

Gillmore will announce the new band members soon.

The recordings for the upcoming full-length album will start before summer and the material will be faster, louder and brutal as hell!!

'FINGERPAINTINGS OF THE INSANE' will be out early 2010!


GILLMORE TOURING EUROPE IN APRIL!

Gillmore will embark on a small tour of Europe with fellow Finns Deadheads, Insomnia (swe), Zalomon (dk), News from the Front (swe) and Gang Loco (ger).
The tour goes by the name KillCity X Tour will start in Hamburg, Germany in the begginning of April followed by shows in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
More information about the tour will be posted on the individual bandsites later on.

'FARCE OF NATURE' ON METAL AGE PRODUCTIONS COMPILATION.

The song 'Farce of Nature' from our 2008 Debut EP 'Rigor Mortis of Souls' will appear on the upcoming Metal Age Productions compilation.

We are preparing official Metal Age compilation CD (print run is 10.000copies), which will be released in February 2009.
The compilation CD will be distributed for free by all companies which deal with Metal Age Productions. (major companies like: Nuclear Blast, Century Media USA, Relapse, Plastic Head, Twilight distribution), but also undeground worldwide labels like: Epitomite, Comatose, Xtreem, Displeased, Holy R., Obscene P., Amputated Vein, Sevared, Coyote R., Red Stream, Bones Brigade and hundreds others.
1200 copies of this compilation will be include in spring issue of Parat magazine (Professionaly printed magazine from Czech republic)
