Bio:
LOGOS, the future of rock music begins with this name. LOGOS is known for their ability to produce exceptional music and perform at a professional level at a young age. Now high school students, Cullen O'Donnell and Zach Czajkowski started the group while in the 8th grade with Cullen on guitar and vocals and Zach on bass. The two began writing music and performing in front of impressed audiences immediately and have done nothing but improved ever since. The LOGOS sound is greatly derived from that of 60s and 70s progressive rock, though a modern twist has been thrown into the mix to update the sound and appeal to both young and old audiences today. Strong vocal melodies bordered by interesting chord changes, busy bass lines, screeching guitar solos, and thunderous drum breaks make up a familiar sound with young views that can't be found in very many other bands today. Brad Kava, a music critic for Mercury News describes the LOGOS sound as ""mature, ambitious, well-played...takes me back to the time that rock meant something and was fun."" In 2005, they cut their first record titled In The Silence including songs such as Lonely Man and Growing Apart which have been aired on HD radio, internet radio, and on FM radio. The song Lonely Man was included in the vol. 1 release of Midwest Music Explosion, a compilation of the best of the best in St. Louis. LOGOS was the only band featured that was still in high school. This opened the door for the group to play with other bands and in venues where they can be showcased based on their ability and not age. LOGOS has performed in venues ranging from Mississippi Nights and the Pageant here in St. Louis to the iChannel stage in Austin, Texas during SXSW. LOGOS has finished working on a new 5 song EP release called Beautiful Disguise, available on iTunes as of March 21st, 2008 (in-store package release coming soon). Working with Ziggy of Saucy Jack Recordings, this has so far proved to be a great achievement for Zach and Cullen as they once again top their later release as it demonstrates outstanding and matured songwriting. This release will also showcase the band's new drummer, Jeff Hall. Though the band has lived through a few drum changes, they feel very comfortable and excited with Jeff, one of the best rock drummers in the St. Louis area. Jeff has played with bands such as Six By Silver and the Red Water Revival. On March 1st, 2008, LOGOS performed in front of a sold out crowd at the Pageant in St. Louis, MO as they opened for blues guitar legend Robin Trower. The concert was presented by KSHE95 which aired a live interview with LOGOS including a live electric in-studio performance. It was the first time this had ever been done at KSHE95 in the 40 years of the station’s existence. Also, LOGOS has recently been booked twice on Pepsi’s new internet venue called DeepRockDrive, a wave of the future in music and the web. Deeprockdrive.com brings both major and unsigned acts to the world by airing concerts live over the internet while giving the fans a way to interact with the show. LOGOS has made it as one of the first unsigned acts to be booked on DRD, thus demonstrating the power of the internet as a promotional tool and how bands like LOGOS have used it to their advantage. Danny Socolof, the creator of DeepRockDrive, describes LOGOS as ""the new marketing masters of the digital universe."" LOGOS truly is the future of rock music!
