Tony Jensen started his career in music as a front man vocalist in an R&B/Soul covers band travelling and performing at venues throughout the UK and Europe. While out on the road and travelling between gigs Jensen started to write his own
material, liked what he was coming up with and decided to take the risk, leave the band and go solo, now only one year down the line he has his own band of musicians and still travels the same venues performing his own songs.
Jensen says
he’s been writing since he was a kid really, but in those days there wasn’t an awful lot to tell apart from the usual teenage angst and protests, now he’s jacked a few more years up, lived a little, loved a little, and been screwed
over a lot, he reckons there’s a lot more to say about life in general.
He has recently written and recorded in LA with Marshall Altman at Galtline Studio’s where the songs got the expert treatment of players like Michael Chavez (John Mayer) Phil Izler (Robbie Williams) and Aaron Sterling.
His music is
an eclectic mix and crossover of AC/Soft Rock that can only be described as grown up Pop.
The emotional impact of a soulful and honest vocal delivery is what hits when you hear Jensen for the first time.
You feel that you know the song and the voice, even though you never heard it before . . . because Jensen has that special
quality that captivates an audience right from the first line.
There are no stylistic inflections, no vocal gymnastics, just natural vocal talent that showcase his songs and leave you wanting to hear more.
His songs are stories about life, love,
feelings, and about situations that we all seem to encounter at some point in life.
