The Vaine are a hardcore five piece that hail from Sydney’s inner suburbs in Australia. The band features two amazing females, sisters Clik Rogan (Vocals &Guitar) & Stephanie Rogan (Vox) and three young guys, Bee Fouani (Lead Guitar), Rusell Gorringe (Bass) and Gavin Deguara (Drums) There sound is a delicate and yet aggressive fusion of melody and screamo with a hard edged twin guitar attack and a relentless rhythm section. Put it all together and you have a very in your face powerhouse sound that really delivers a unique and distinctive style that tells stories with identifiable lyrics relating to social change and unrest in the greater community today.
The Vaine’s “It’s A Disease” is a record that will rip your head off and shit down your neck with its perfect mix off ‘killer everything’. Formed in Sydney Australia in early 2006 The Vaine have, while developing their unique sound, stuck to a formula which seems to have very few rules yet continues to deliver songs you’ll instantly recognise as The Vaine. Two girls and three high energy guys make up this five-piece and, not only do they hold their own alongside many all-guy outfits, they often lead the way with their musical diversity and relentless onstage energy, which also comes through in full force on this kick-ass début album. Recorded over a three-month period at Electric Sun Studios in 2007 with the producer/engineer team of Shane (Buda) Edwards and Dave Petrovic, “It’s A Disease” is razor edge guitars, heart thumping drums and bass, and vocals that go from lilting songbird to all-out-war. The arrangements and maturity of the tracks belie the ages of their creators – ranging from 17 to 19 – and there is only one obvious direction The Vaine can go from here: forward!

The Sounds Of The Mary Celeste
Here is a no holds barred slammed to the senses type of tune with a delicate balance of melodic vocal delivery and screamo in the right places. A dynamic structure and arrangement is well balanced with a big production sound.

Bee (n) Stalking Jaque
Here is a more commercial oriented track from these hardcore rockers. There is far more melody and more of an actual storyboard in this tune and that makes it a lot more accessible to the mainstream. Great hooky chorus well delivered by the female lead here.
