Born to Linda Wilson and Kevin Childers Sr. on December 10th, 1984 Kevin Childers a.k.a Vega began his music career in Baltimore, Md. At the age of 7, Kevin was introduced to hip-hop by his father who he watched at studio sessions and performances. Kevin was influenced by major artist such as LL COOL J, RUN-DMC, FATBOYS etc. By watching movies such as Krush Groove and Beat Street.

Kevin learned various ways of performing and grew a strong aspiration to becoming a rap artist. By the age of 8, Kevin wrote his first song entitled (Education), which he performed at a local elementary school and won the crowd over. At the age 10, Kevin received an achievement award from Baltimore's ex-mayor Kurt Schmoke for performing a song his father wrote entitled (More Power To The Black Man).

Still pushing towards his goals, Kevin continued to perform and also started modeling for various agencies. Kevin wrote and released his first album entitled (Without Warning) in 2005, which was very successful in his surrounding communities. Kevin now resides in Plainfield, New Jersey where he has a wife and 3 kids.
