VHOD was conceived by sole member Chris Shaver in early 2014. VHOD was essentially a merger of past projects and remained so until early 2017 when it was announced that VHOD, MORBID DARKNESS, GODCURSED, WORMS OF THE BIRTH and newest upstart projects TRANSIR and DARKNESS WITHOUT DAWN, would all be producing and releasing new material as separate entities beginning in 2017.
