Born on Canada's west coast in New Westminster, Ewen James writes songs about his experiences.

He grew up listening to Jimmy Rodgers, Hank Williams and other early country singers.
Those great songs, artists on the radio, and the debut albums of Zeppelin, CCR and Chicago were all a big influence.

But it was Dylan that triggered him to write songs since he was a teenager. After many years of writing he is now releasing those songs.
