Born and raised in a small town of North Carolina, Mia Muneca is best described as a fun, loving, country girl. Though her roots are strong in the genre of country and blue grass, she has a love of all kinds of music and has developed her own, unique, style of writing and singing. Mia has given credit of her talent to her very eventful and at times, tragic, past. Evidence of this can be heard in her music, such as "Taking Drugs", an original song about the unexpected death of her brother, and the circumstances following after.
Mia says that even though she has experienced many losses beginning early in life, she has also experienced many gains, and through it all, has never once forgotten that life is beautiful. In her fun and fast paced song that she describes as being "Almost rap, but not quite," she sings about her herself in a very non-candid way, and reveals a warm, light hearted, personality. She can often be heard quoting Albert Einstein, saying that "There are two ways in which one can live their life. One, as if nothing is a miracle, and the other, as if everything is a miracle."
