Described as La niña del Sur (Southern Girl), Surianne delivers exotic sounds of acoustic experimental rock music reminiscent of her Mediterranean roots.
Attracting a loyal fan base with her feisty rhythms, infectious melodies and eclectic band of musicians, she performs in prestigious festivals and events such as for TUC in aid of International Woman’s Day, The Princes Trust, London International Music Show, Beverley Folk Festival and O2 Carling Academy. She has shared the stage with the likes of Suzanne Vega, Nate James, Steve Balsamo, Breed77 and in Oct 2012, formed part of the line up for ‘A Future That Works’ rally in Hyde Park alongside Natalie McCool, The Dhol Blasters, performing to a crowd over 100,000 people.
Previously nominated for a Birmingham Music Award for Best Unsigned Act in the Midlands, in 2013 she was artist preference for UK MP Diane Abbott who nominated Surianne for the parliamentary music competition ‘Rock The House'. She was the ‘peoples choice’ and finalist for the Gibraltar Music Festival and in 2011, she independently launched her single ‘Stronger Than Before’ successfully entering in the iTunes UK Top 100 Latino songs at #56.
Alongside her creative work, she is also involved in voluntarily organising live music events and workshops in aid of Hestia Housing and Support, a London based charity that has given Surianne the title as Ambassador as a result of her philanthropic work.
