I was born and raised in the Ouachita river bottoms in Southern Arkansas.
In 1996, I taught myself to play the guitar.


I am a fan of various types of music but my foundation is built on country, gospel and bluegrass. The artists that influenced me the most were Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard.


I have collaborated with many great writers such as Jen Mangum, Blake Hill, Sean Kealy, Corey Parkman, Erica Moltz, Charles Hayden and Eden Langworthy.
