Roynell “KARLITO" Young, was born in Westmoreland, Negril, Jamaica. Karlito was twelve years old when his family migrated to Canada. However, he never forgets his cultural roots planted firmly in reggae music. Karlito was raised in Toronto, Canada. He grew up listening to Shabba Ranks, Burning Spear, Buju Banton, and Sanchez. His high school music teacher became his mentor who recognized Karlito’s talent and encouraged Karlito to pursue his musical journey.
Karlito began to perform at local clubs in Toronto and across Canada where he got most of his confidence and experiences. Karlito has shared the same stage with Jamaica international Recording artists such as Baby Sham, Wayne Wonder, Spragga Benz, Beenie Man, and Buju Banton. His first single was with Outta Road “NEVER BEEN TOUCH” on the Mash up Riddim. He's currently working on his EP, which will be released some time in December of this year.
