Singer, songwriter Blake Pierce personifies the heart of country music. His authentic southern drawl framed in the classic country melodies he sings portrays a charm that is missing or often contrived in today’s new breed of country singers.
Blake was born, raised and lives in southeast Missouri near the Arkansas and Tennessee border. His humble beginnings have shaped his kind and generous personality and have inspired his drive to better himself. Blake was the first in his family to graduate from high school and later to go back to college at 38 years of age.
Raised on the outskirts of Sikeston, Missouri, Blake learned hard what it meant to be a working man and to sing the music of the American heartland. He also got caught in the economic crash of 2008 and it was then he was inspired to return to his musical roots starting a bluegrass group called Bluegrass Revival, touring the tristate area playing at festivals, weddings and rest homes.
Blake’s voice is reminiscent of many of the great classic country artists that made country music the great American art form that it deserves to be. Strains of Keith Whitley, George Jones and Vern Gosdin can be heard in his pleasant and deep resonance. Honoring the classic country style that shaped his musical heritage, Blake is embarking on a journey to find his own unique sound that includes the best of the past and present sounds that define Nashville.
Blake has had a long and successful marriage to his wife Kim Pierce and is a dedicated family man.
His first single, “Drink This Sunday Away” has been well received by independent radio stations who are awaiting his next release coming in January 2018, “Jesse and You”.
