We are 777

From the rumble in the jungle that is Hull
People say that we sound like Joy Division in a death struggle with the SonicYouth and The Velvet Underground, with a dash of the Smiths thrown in for the ladies.
We think we sound like us and that’s just what people say.
We play in Hull when we are allowed out and have played in London to 4 people at places like the Dublin castle, The Pleasure unit, The Archway Tavern. 3 of those people said we were great, one said we were brilliant.
We have a car its a Volvo 760 Gle and is always breaking down, many A.A men are big fans of 777.
We have recorded in everything from 24 track studios with Simon Humphrey who's worked with the Clash, Abba and the Beach Boys. to two mikes in a disc player in the rehursal room. Some of both are here.
We like them all but we get a lot of "quality" comments from audio snobs who just don't really listen to the music as a raw diamond, but want a million seller already in the can. Tough to do with only 500 quid and two days studio time.
We lose £100 every time we play out of Hull, so if it was all about the money for us we wouldn't bother. But we do like battlecries and champagne, just in case of sunrise.
