Simeon Flick grew up listening to cool torch-song jazz, 60's R&B, 70's funk, classic rock of all decades, and 80's & 90's punk and alternative. At first he followed the trends and was in two vanguard–albeit virtually unknown–bands in the nineties before finally going solo in 2002. Simeon knew no genre boundaries during his formative years, and perhaps it is because of this that he has transcended his influences by choosing to wear any and all of them on his sleeve at different times. Unlike most other singer/songwriters wielding guitars, Simeon has done his homework; he holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance, has actually subjected himself to the much-evaded, often insecurity-excavating process of voice training, and is a perpetual student of music who continues to learn and apply accesible innovations to his art. Radio-ready songs like ""Do It & Leave"" and ""Can't Wait 'Til I Die"" hint at depth and complexity in their titles alone, but the melodies and production are catchy as hell; this is heavy enlightenment disseminated via ear candy. Simeon's goals are modest: To make a philanthropic living through music, and to be a soloist in the choir of life.
