S.H.A/R.(O).N BROOKS IS THE ESSENCE OF A LIFETIME
Who's lifetime? her lifetime, the lifetime of a woman. That of joy, pain, ups, downs, triumphs and struggles. S.h.a/r.(o).n fully embodies everything it means to be a female in our modern day world, a world where we all wear many hats, and Brooksie, the pet name she goes by with close friends, does this well as she effectively executes being a daughter, niece, cousin, sister, friend, mother, lover, entrepreneur and an exceptionally gifted entertainer.
Born November 9th 1977 on the beautiful island of Barbados, this young lady has been there, done that and is now prepared to claim her rightful place in the entertainment industry as a truly respected and seasoned artist.
S.h.a/r.(o).ns' introduction to the stage was true to her roots as she took part and won local competitions at a very ripe age alongside another well known Bajan import Rupee and subsequently went on to sing back vocals for such big name soca bands like Spice & Co. and Jegna through these Barbadian powerhouses S.h.a/r.(o).n got the chance to tour the Caribbean and North America and back well known reggae, soca and dancehall acts Like Beres Hammond at venues such as Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica, Trini Carnival, New York’s Labour Day Fete's, etc. S.h.a/r.(o).n then went on to represent her Island as National Ambassador and as Miss Barbados in the 1995 Miss Carnival Competition in St.Vincent and The Grenadines.
At the age of 19 her personal and musical interests took her north to Montreal, Quebec and then Toronto, Ontario. A little while later S.h.a/r.(o).n ended up in Beijing where she worked stages for a couple of months and penned the lyrics for her debut album.
In 2000 S.h.a/r.(o).n got together with one of her best friends Andrew Craig to create a very reflective musical masterpiece that is ""A TASTE OF LIFE""
Which spawned such hits as: Raindrops, Woman, and Slide(GO SEE THE MUSIC VIDEO @) sharonbrooksmusic.com
S.h.a/r.(o).n has since found her way back to Montreal and has embedded herself within the scene performing at such well known clubs like the Jell-O Bar, Sofa Lounge, Bourbon Street West., Club Myst, 40 West and the world renowned Time Supper Club
S.h.a/r.(o).n has began putting the finishing touches on her sophomore LP and this time has recruited local heavyweights like Ben Comeau Stephen Thomas, DNA Productions, Preach of The Ville, All Good Music and Jean LeLoup whom plays the hardcore guitar lick on ""I Like It Like"" and collaborated with S.h.a/r.(o).n to manifest ""Tangerine"" a song that is used as the theme song in his upcoming foreign film release of ""Tangerine"".
S.h.a/r.(o).n is also a fierce business woman who has founded Jairo Entertainment, an entertainment management company that provides entertainment services for clients on all levels and also provides a network for Artists to explore and share opportunities of all kinds...one of her motto's - more done in meticulous mass
