Formed in 1979, shortly after Brian Burke finished college, the Normaltown Flyers have been a mainstay in the Athens music scene since its earliest days. Having survived some lineup changes and a major-label relationship that broke up a few years ago, the Flyers are still going strong, currently comprised of Burke (the only remaining original member) and Tom Ryan.
