1. THE WHOLE STORY
Long Shot Hero was formed in 1999 with three of the current members: Brian Chapman, Kaity Jaber, and Joel Frederick. Chris Irons auditioned two weeks later and become the permanent lead singer of what would mark the beginning of Long Shot Hero. In just under a month, Chris caught up enough to mark the first ever Long Shot Hero show.
Continuing forwards through the end of 2002, LSH played many local venues in and around Philadelphia gaining not only a strong local fan base, but the recognition of many local venues. They were able to record their demo as early as March 2003. So began the bands first trip into an actual studio as they entered Rhawn Street Studios in Philadelphia, PA.
The band recorded a mix of their older songs, along with the newer pop-punk style that spawned up in songs like ""Go. Their demo titled ""Funsized” was a success for a demo. Now sold out, with over 700 copies sold to date, the demo attracted the attention of a wide array of labels, venues, online punk magazines, and for the first time exposed LSH to a national audience. Constant shows and publicity followed through 2003 as the band switched from being a local Philly bar band to being a concert show band.
After writing more new-style influenced songs at a very quick pace, and seeing how quick their demo was selling, LSH was quick to get back into the studio to record an EP during the summer of 2003. They entered the studio with producer Mark Rutkowski and began working on ""Old Enough To Know Better"", which was being very anxiously awaited by fans of LSH nationwide.
After being noticed at a show for their exciting and energetic live show, Bill Courtney (CEO of Say-Ten Records), helped get the band on track. Upon hearing the un-mastered tracks of ""Old Enough To Know Better"", LSH was picked up by Say-Ten Records, who they signed to release the EP with. ""Old Enough To Know Better"" was stocked with songs that were a large improvement over previously recorded songs, along with guest vocals by band friend Johnny Hunter who fronts the ECA Records band The Prize Fight.
After ""Old Enough..."" officially sold 1,000+ copies, LSH hit the road in summer 2004 for their ""Ska Checks and Broken Necks"" tour covering 15 east coast states, and making a slew of friendships including now ska successes The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, The Taj Motel Trio, The Know How, and The Suburban Legends
The end of 2004 was marked with a ton of new material, and preparing to demo and record their next album. Since then, the band has demoed and recorded their long awaited full-length album, ""Regrets No More"" with producer Richard Gavalis (Bloodhound Gang, American Nightmare). New songs like ""EYF"" and ""Wasted on Arrival"" (featuring Jeff Rosenstock of ASOB on guest vocals) have secured LSH's place in the next wave of ska punk. Summer 2005, the band headed out on their ""Regrets No More"" summer tour, playing 28 shows in 30 days up and down the east coast and midwest of the US. This marks the bands second US tour.
In the middle of their ""Regrets No More"" 2005 summer tour, they acquired guitarist Shaun Canard (formerly of The Innocence Diagram and In The Rye), and trombone player Anthony Hurrell (formerly of Mighty Apollo), bringing a fresh new sound the LSH and further proving that, at least for these six and their fans, ska will never die.

3. REVIEWS:
“…you can't help but coming out of this album with a smile on your face, and the thought in your mind that you've just experienced one of the best albums 2005 has to offer. I don't care what the critics have to say, and I’m telling you straight up to throw aside any negative comments you might hear about this record before you experience it first-hand for yourself. This is what music should sound like, and West Chester’s finest have showed us that they aren't going anywhere. Keep an extra pair of pants handy when you pop this thing in your stereo, because I can guarantee you that you'll be needing them.”
