Emporia is the recording name of 28 year old artist and songwriter Stan Stanley. Originally a solo entity, Stan's Emporia project evolved and developed over three years into a four piece rock outfit via a brief spell as an acoustic duo. Most recently it consisted of Stan on vocals and guitar, Lee Traquair on 2nd guitar, Doug Willis on bass and Paul Jarret on drums. Stan's Emporia has many strings to it's bow. The live performances and EP's are all about rock out, chorus driven, rock anthems sitting comfortably alongside sprawling Floydian epics conspiring to take the listener and gig goer on an all involving musical journey. Stan Stanley has talent, songs and, most importantly, drive. He is currently recruiting band members for Emporia's next incarnation and is also looking to surround himself with the right team of people to establish Emporia as a powerful, creative and commercial force for the future.
