""mxiii branched out of kilgore trout, a computer based musical experiment combining non musically trained, but musically competent individuals contributing bits and samples to a greater goal of mere composition. mxiii (moldie13) having been one of the founding members of kilgore trout and seeing the waning interest and participation of its co-members decided it was time to move on.
kilgore trout was founded on the principle pioneered by the band ""the residents"", the ""theory of obscurity"" in which all members of a band, being equal in input, should not be recognized individually for their bits, so that the ego never enters into the equation and that all praise or criticism lands solidly on all shoulders...
...but when inspiration wans...
...and nobody's left to pick the ball up...
with the full kilgore trout musical library to pull from and the blessing of all kilgore trout members to use any files as he sees fit, mxiii continues in his endeavors. though still preferring to remain somewhat obscure (out of habit probably more than anything else), the music created is his own to claim, for better or for worse.
mxiii works full time (and massively overtime) at a regular job, creating music in his studio at home. the means used to create songs don't allow for live performances, though that fact is a source of great dismay.""
