Kaijowaan is one of those real talents that arise from the inner city streets. He has that creative mind that fuses R&B, Soul, and real gritty Hip-Hop. Modeling himself on the likes of R. Kelly, D Angelo, Curtis Mayfield with that Philly rap flavor. Kaijowaan&..39;s influences didn't just come across in his vocal style -- like most of those artists. He writes his own material (and frequently does his own production as well, helping to revive the concept of the R&B amateur. He has set out to do big numbers, especially with groundbreaking singles, “Get Your Weight Up" & "Rhythm & Blues.” They are gradually earning him respect in the streets and slowly catching on to the masses.
Kaijowaan Hughes was born in Okinawa, Japan and he is the son of a US Air Force Sergeant. He consistently moved around to different places in the US, but one stop would impact him the most; Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love or Brotherly Thugs. The stop would instill the street savvy, hustle mentality that he displays in his persona and the style that flows through his music. After forming a rap group, Kaijowaan ended up singing a melody for one of the tracks, which would prove to be the key moment that led up to now. Kaijowaan learned that he had a gift and decided to go further, leaving rap music on the back burner. After declining the major labels and Temple University on their four-year basketball scholarship offer, he went off to develop his skills at Full Sail in Orlando, Fl. After building his own studio and partnering up with R. Daligheto of Motoven Records, the kid has laid down some innovative songs for his new mixtape LP. He is being named “The Next Big Thing For The Streets & Beyond,” for his songwriting, arranging and production ability. Kaijowaan is off to secure a streets world wide like no other. From the young to old, his music is universal.
