Influenced by the best but keeping his own style this Dallas born native
picked up his first guitar some 25 years ago in the waking hours of teenage
adolescence.

Although raised in the country outskirts Russ still had vast variety of
musical influences, some common while others obscure. From cats like Hank
Jr and Jerry Reed to the funkadelic styling of Rick James and Parliament
(from cassette tapes found in an old Chevy) to Segovia and Mozart to VAi,
Eddie and Malsteem to BB, Buddy, Stevie, Lightnin' and John Lee, his
eclectic music choice transcended to his guitar playing.
