The Strolling Scones are a “retro-rock” group that specializes in music from the 1960’s. They’re doing tunes from that era along with some of their originals, which have the 60’s vibe. The songs go from tunes with lots of vocals and harmonies (all 5 members sing) to quasi-psychedelic. The band has an element of musical theater, with a mythology that includes being frozen since 1969, and recently thawed. Much of the mystique of the Strolling Scones lies around the mythology and all of the trippy 60’s stuff that goes with it, but for the band to be a success it has to deliver on the music and it does in spades.
