The Divine Chemical (formerly known as Null) started in late 2004 as the brainchild of guitarist/programmer Jim Wicked as a method to rebel against the current state of music. Rather than conform to any one genre, Monique developed a musical style which enveloped elements of metal, trance, and industrial. After working on a large batch of demo songs in his home studio, Jim gathered the talents of Astroboy, Facade, and Sphincter to perform live. By the end of 2005, however, Facade and Sphincter had both left the band while Dez Wicked stepped in to fill in the gaps. Also occuring in 2005, Null was signed to local record label, Dark Corner Productions and in 2006, Spice Melange Studio, the personal recording studio of Monique, merged with Spyderbanc, the Dark Corner Productions studio. Work was immediately started on a crushing new album, the likes of which, conceptually, had never been in existance before. Midway through the recording phase of Comatose Insomniac, it was decided that Vision D Vision of Sleep Now Yes and Mentallo & The Fixer fame was going to take over the live guitars. Now with a new album on the verge of release, one which challenges the listener to open their mind to new experiences, The Divine Chemical are ready to venture out into the world and dominate the senses of an unsuspecting audienceBand:
