Elad Gabbay is a talented and gifted musician, Kanoon and Oud player (see photos). His recently released debut CD titled ""Kanoon&Beyond"" was produced incorporating his mystical playing and unique vocal techniques. You can also listen to Elad's Kanoon with Ethnica Trio on ""Kanoon&Beyond"" and in Yuda's ""SEVEN STEPS"" CD. Elad is also an accomplished teacher in the ""School of Middle East Music"" in Jerusalem.
Yehuda Ashash
Ethnicamusic founder Yehuda Ashash, has recently released a new CD titled ""Seven Steps"". Yuda is a successful Bass player who plays various styles of music with a versatile group of musicians. Currently focusing on Oud playing, in addition to other string instruments from the Middle East. The inspiring sounds of these instruments drive him to write beautiful melodies mixed with riffs and beats influenced from modern music styles.
Asaf Zamir
Asaf is a percussion artist with great sense of musical time and rhythm. Asaf is a very curious person that has the ability to produce sound with anything that looks percussive. You can hear Asaf amazing drumming in Yehuda's ""Seven Steps"" or in Elad's ""Kanoon&Beyond"" where Asaf is playing bongos, shakers, kashishis, darbukas, djembe, daf, frame drums, tambourine and many additional percussion instruments from around the world.
Danny Dromi
Danny is a gifted musician and guitar player that can adjust to almost any given musical style, from rock to classical, Russian ballads to Spanish flamenco. Danny uses a very unique approach within the Ethnicamusic production, for example he will use electric Guitar distortion sounds in an acoustic piece, enabling it to mix magically. Rachel Shobali
Rachel Shobali is a graduate of the ""Rubin Academy of Music"" in Jerusalem, majoring in violin playing and Middle East music. She studied with some of the era's best musicians. Her beautiful touch and expressive playing can really excite the listener, she has the ability to play almost every maqam (musical scale) that exists, thanks to her perfect pitch and incredible aural abilities. Nir Prizant Nir is a uniqe artist who makes his own instruments in his workshop. He plays a great variety of flute instruments. In his travels to the Far East he was fascinated by the instruments and playing techniques. Those methods drove him to learn and develop a special way of playing the flute. Nir makes beautiful instruments like the Turkish Dudok and the Persian Nai , in addition to western flutes.
