[From Broadway to Cabaret]
Broadway veteran to release her first studio recording “I’m Glad There is You”
NYC, NY - In May of 2006, Lillie Kae debuted her sound at Ridgewood, New Jersey’s Blend lounge for two sold-out audiences. In the year following, Lillie Kae has devoted her time and energy to developing her first studio recording, “I’m Glad There is You,” which is set for its official release on March 20, 2007.
Lillie Kae’s entrance into the jazz/cabaret scene in 2006 came after developing an impressive performance resume including appearances in critically-acclaimed Broadway shows such as West Side Story, Sunset Boulevard, Evita and Crazy for You. After a two-year stint performing in the Broadway production of CHICAGO, Lillie Kae took leave from the stage to pursue other personal interests – primarily to dedicate quality time to her young family.
Today, Lillie Kae is celebrating the completion and release of her first studio recording which includes many jazz classics from the 1930’s. The Debut CD features Legendary jazz guitarist, Bucky Pizzarelli and seasoned pianist, Tony Monte. Preview copies of the album have been distributed and have the radio community buzzing. Jim Stone of WLNZ in Michigan says the album is “Magnificent!” Lou Powers of WBCD in Philadelphia calls Lillie Kae’s CD, “Terrific and wonderful in every way” and “Bucky (Pizzarelli)’s solos are the best I have heard him play.”
