While drumming out on the east coast back in the '80's, Charles Molinari was part of the exploding pop rock movement around the Boston area. Playing clubs like The Rat, The Channel, and The Paradise, he was in what felt like the center of the rock universe at the time. Then we all watched The Cars bust out, and from LA, The Knack. Life happens, and Charles and the guys went their separate ways. Meanwhile, at about that same time in Minneapolis, Bobby Cox decides to stop pretending he'll finish college. He grabs his guitar and hits the road with a Top 40 cover band. The group plays the casino and gin-soaked hotel curcuit all over the country. Naturally, the band breaks up, and all go separate ways. Somehow both Charlie and Bobby end up in Los Angeles, still chasin' the dream. And the beat o'life goes on...Soon, after various musical projects, a mutual friend hooks Charlie & I up. And THE GALAXIES are born! It is the latest and rockin-est band they feel they have ever created. Power pop with a rock edge. Classic rock with a modern sound. The basic tracks for the debut album, titled HERE WE GO!, have been completed at ELEPHANT SYMPHONY STUDIOS in Glendale, CA. Engineered by Donny Baker, with solid bass contributions hammered down by Will MacGregor (The Pretenders, Ron Woods, Tori Amos) all promise to give this CD a gigantic, galactic sound...RELEASE DATE: SPRING 2007!
