JT
The initials JT stand for singer songwriter Jaap Tol, who originates from and still lives in Holland's famous musictown Volendam.
JT is a musician since 1982, performing weekly througout Holland since 1985. Being a professional musician since 1996 as a member of La Stampa, a fulltime job, Jaap composes, arranges and records his own music in his own studio, 1Core Produxions, in Volendam. JT's music can be described as latin- and rockbased pop. Strong melodies on sophisticated musical bases with a fresh and catchy hook.
In 2003 JT released his first solo album called 'Twelve'. It was supported by two warmblooded videoclips, shot in Spain in high summer to enhance the latin character en sensual moods of the music. The album was received well and acclaimed for its broad variety of styles and its obvious musical quality. Dutch local tv and radio found JT ready to promote the album widespread. the video-singles, the Spanglish 'Como Quieres Que Te Quiera' and the ironstrong anchorsong 'If Only' are still regularly broadcast by the dutch TV Oranje.
The album features three wonderous duets among which we find an intrigueing duet with the Dutch Irishman Piet Karregat. Together him and JT turn the song 'Black Is The Colour' into a true gem. Listen to the 'Twelve' songs on www.jt4all.com.
At the moment JT is working on a dutch album called 'Van De Koude Grond'. ('From The Cold Grounds'). It is scheduled for release in spring 2008. The album will feature new compositons as wel as dutch remakes of songs from 'Twelve'. New videos have been shot in Spain. Their release is also due in 2008.
