Ledaswan’s sound has gone under extraordinary changes in their transformation from a near solo studio project to a full-fledged band. The melodic dream-popish beginning has flourished from folky/alternative/singer/songwriter to an instantaneous energetic and emotionally rocking 4 piece. Erica’s voice has been described as Juliana Hatfield meets Harriet Wheeler of the Sundays, a nicer Courtney Love. The songs and musical elements are reminiscent to the Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, and Veruca Salt. Ledaswan live mixes indie, rock, shoe-gaze, folk, blues and pop while staying true to a singer/songwriter blueprint, that is unique and truly the sound of Ledaswan. For the last 12 months Ledaswan, has been playing local clubs such as Salute, the Wiggle Room and the Sanctuary while forging a sound all their own, incorporating influences from the Jesus and Mary Chain, Mazzy Star, and the Rolling Stones.
Before Ledaswan formed Erica handed out a self-produced E.P. at a local music club in their hometown under her alter ego name "Leaves," It was there that she handed a copy to Jaime Monzon who was the guitarist for a local melodic emo-core band, Drughoney. The two unlikely collaborators accidentally began writing and recording songs three years after the random encounter. Dangerously powerful tracks like Discover, the catchy and sweet; heart anguished Over Again, the melodic rock soul-tugging Learning to Breathe, and their lyrically indie countryish pop sing-along Heart in Two all bound to awaken due unexplored territory.

Learning to Breathe
sexy & pop twist one of our most upbeat n rocking songs, again different when performed with full band as most of the instrumentation on this recording was performed by me and jaime at home.
