Oktofobia are a 4 piece Alternative/Experimental/Rock band from Telford. Aspiring to be the most unique band from the area experimenting with abnormal song structures and different progressive sounds. The fobian experience started in 2006 after the split of Fraz's old indie rock band "April Rose" and Ste's band "Bolted Shut" they gathered James on bass, and also had Greg on vocals who was only in the band a short while. And Phil a rhythm guitarist. At this point they released the debut ep "Hands of an Ape" which received harsh crisitsm from the area. Through the year Oktofobia only managed to pull of 6 gigs, and went through a number of line up changes extending to 2007 with the loss of Phil, and Joe (a temporarily drummer) Ste (who played drums in the band to start with) also felt he needed to drop the sticks and play guitar and dabble in synths. Oktofobia then recruited Ash (The Beats) and have now scrapped there old Hardcore/Punk/Metal music to make Alternative/Experimental/Rock. Okto pursue to re-invent the name of Experimental to prove it is not just messing around with funny instruments. Okto have now just released there forthcoming ep "Abomination" and so far it has been well received. The band inspire to climb with their new sound and getting there name across. At the peak of Okto's existence they have preformed at venue's such as "The Place" (Okengates) "The Little Civic (Wolvo - famous for upcoming new bands) and of course "The Haygate". Oktofobia are looking for more bands to gig and more places to play. They have set the goals. - The 8th of Infantry
