El Sueño de Elvira was born on 1997, March, with a surrounding and personal style. At first the group was on a national tour to show their songs to the audience. It was then when their first work was born, named “Llorar”.
In that tour the concerts went one after the other, consolidating their reputation as one of the best live bands in Spain, being present in many music festivals.
At the end of 1999 they signed a contract with “Magic Factory”, recording their second album with the prestigious producer “Jose Manuel Moles” (Maná, Malú, Los Caños…). However, this work was never released because of personal problems.
In fact, El Sueño de Elvira´s members splitted up for four years and their musicians started solo projects, for example Oscar Moncho recorded his own solo album called “Retomando viejos senderos”.
September 2003, the return: it was the time to reunite the band again and give new concerts, first one was in Valencia, then in different cities round Spain, specially Zaragoza.
In September 2004, El Sueño de Elvira went back to the Recording Studio and got their third album recorded, this time it was called “Quatro” and it contained five songs who had a very good acceptation from fans and audience. The band has been giving gigs since then around Spain, making new fans, driving a lot of kilometres, and growing up as a band on a new tour called “La oscura resurrección”.
July 2006: It’s the time, it’s the new chance, El Sueño de Elvira signed for the record company “Grabaciones encontradas” which allows the band develope all their potential without limits, despite schedules or technical personnel. The recording finished in September, 2006, the master copy in October and the design of the Cover Art in December.
May 2007: The best album from El Sueño de Elvira is now in Spanish shops like “Fnac shops” or “El Corte Inglés”. This album has been called “Una puerta abierta” (“An open door”) and all of us, the band, are wishing it can really be the definitive step into the international musical world
