The August release of Bo Cox’s much anticipated debut album, ‘Rich Man’s Gold’, has already caused a great amount of buzz around the future of this newcomer.
The album, produced by Mike McClure, provides a refreshing and stand-out blend of country roots mixed with blues influences that will leave almost any listener with something they’ll enjoy. Songs like ‘Between the Lines’ and ‘Talkin’ with the Devil’ really reveal the diversity of this album and the versatility and strength of this artist.
Lone Star Music has added the song, ‘Burning You’, to their 3rd Volume of the Lone Star Music CD Sampler. This CD Sampler features the best of Lone Star Music’s new artists. Each year 5,000 copies are printed and sent out as promotional material to Texas/Red Dirt music fans and industry folks. Artists included on last year’s sampler included: Ryan Bingham, Johnny Cooper, Bart Crow and more.
Bo Cox will also be joining the Greenfest 2008 lineup this year, along with Bleu Edmondson, Hayes Carll, Drew Kennedy and more. Being included on this lineup is a great honor and a wonderful opportunity for any up and coming artist. This will be a big year for Bo Cox, as he continues to tour Texas and the surrounding states with his band, earning fans and spreading song while he’s on the road.
