So what’s set’s a real rocker apart from a try hard and wanna be copycat. A total passion based and dedicated attitude to music. Respecting its roots and the people that have come and gone to make it great. Forever evolving and reinventing itself and this is what hard rocker, Tony Cuic is all about. Pure guts, sweat, determination and a desire to succeed at all costs. Tony started mimicking his favourite artists and singers at an early age and the desire just got stronger as time went on. He draws his high range and classic rock style from some of the greatest names in the business. Bon Scott, Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Brian Johnston to name a few.

In addition to his love for singing, Tony has a real knack for writing great songs with hooky structures, powerful melodies and heartfelt delivery. His original material both co-written and on his own steam have found a place in many peoples hearts as the lyrics are about real things happening in his life that have created cause and effect and shaped him as the artist he is today. That is rare and something that the music world needs more of. There are just too many wanna be copycats out there making a mark a creating false illusions which is unnecessary when all people seek today is truth.

After honing his song writing and getting a band together Tony ventured into the studio in 1997 where he laid down (4) demo tracks which very soon became crowd favourites and before long they wanted more. In 2004 Tony met his friend, mentor and producer, Mike Puskas who is the CEO of DEAD Famous and Astral Records and Music and a partnership was born. The two realised that they had a knack for combining Tony’s lyrics and melodic structures along with Mikes musical and rhythmic ideas to create a fusion of good solid rock n roll with heart! After a year of working together Tony went into Mikes home studio with Cubase and recorded a very introspective song called, Sepukku Suicide which was basically an ode to the lost youth of today and really hit home with its listeners. The song was shortlisted for an all age promo youth campaign for a Govt Agency known as The Push but in the end the lyrical content was deemed to be to risqué for commercial release. Another year later and this time with a budget Tony and Mike went into Atlantis Studios in Melbourne to lay down what was to become the basis of his first release, “Skatergrind” The Maxi single which will be released via MGM Distribution in May 2009 features three very diverse songs that really show of this artists style with flair. The title track, Skatergrind was well received and licensed into the youth focus extreme sports program, Blastzone and airs nationally on C31 and is awaiting US syndication in the fall. There is also much interest to use the song in a number of Skateboarding DVD’s for sell through and international distribution.

Tony is steadily building his fan base and if the single goes well on release there is already ample material to create and produce a quality album which is tentatively titled, “Deserts Melted Note”.
