Awake Of Darkness was formed during winter of 2002 by Fotis Tambas,Alex Diamantis and Alex Sakarelis.For 3 years the band was playing covers from Iron Maiden,Metallica and Iced Earth and the only 1 song(Hellish Darkness) that was written from the band at that time.Throught that time they tried to found a drummer close to their beliefs and respectations.Finally, John Boutasis came to complete the main line-up of the group.They strarted to play live after 5 months, mainly covers from Heavy/Thrash and Death groups.Then they started to play their own songs that were created through that time.At winter of 2007 John Evaggelou came to the band as vocalist. Unfortunately,after 2 months Sakarelis left the band for personal reasons.After that, they performed in many metal clubs and in few local festivals.At September of 2008 they recorded their first demo, titled ""Rising Soul"".After recording of Rising Soul Evaggelou left the band for personal reasons too..
