Formed in the fall of 1993 the band spent the better part of the 90s playing, writing, recording and releasing material with a DIY work ethic. Winners of Montreal's CHOM 97.7 Esprit contest in 1996 Hol'Fader acquired quite a loyal following.
The song "Gold Dust" from the album "In The Dream Shelter" was an internet hit in 1999 reaching #1 on MP3.com. Gold Dust has been featured on a handful of compilations as well as the soundtrack for Mrs. Death (1999).
