The Stores are always hard working to deliver a cool and neatly dressed rock n roll show packed with houlin', spittin', sweattin' and smokin'. Theese tree surf-rockers have after just two years become quite a phenomenom in the the underground of the western parts of Denmark, but have also had air play on a couple of danish radio stations and on the American radio show "The Ben & Heather Show", who cover most of the US.
In December 2004 The Stores recorded the self-titled EP which achived 5 M's on Mymusic.dk, "Track of the Day" and "Track of the Week" on Garageband.com and a possition in top 3 in the "KIAC Big 50" at Independentartistcompany.com. The latest acompledgement was in a rather large danish music copetition where they claimed the wictory.
Musically The Stores are inspired by the rock tradition of the 60's, like early The Who, Kinks, Small Faces and The Ventures. But the punk scene of the 70's and 80's with bands like The Stooges, The Clash and The Smiths also inspires for a sound that hasn't been heard since. The Stores have from all this induced to bring their own sound which lies somewhere between the madness of Bob Hund, the noise of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the houls of The Hollywoods and the sloth of The Libertines.
You will for sure be surprised and delighted by The Stores' sublime compositions and flair for detail. The Stores will alternately fasinate you and demand your attention as they conquer the stage with their hectic though charming performance.
