5 Stars for Failure is an energetic five piece based out of Minneapolis, MN. Their music can be described as a mix of punk, screamo, and pop-punk. They always strive for a unique sound, shades removed from what others are playing. They pride themselves on putting on an entertaining live show. They feel that the enjoyment of the crowd is just as important as their sound.

5 Stars for Failure formed as a five piece when they were in 9th grade in a small northern Minnesota town and have been together for over four years. There have been a few member switches in their history; in May of 2004 they acquired their friend Erik as lead singer. His intense screams and Levi's harmonies make up 5 Stars' catchy vocals. However, the band did not feel fully complete until their high school friend, Brady, joined as their second guitarist in October of 2004. Each member's love for music comes together to form their exciting live show and unique sound.

Right now the band's main goals are to get their name out, record an EP, go on tour, and eventually sign with a label. They are a hard working group, dedicated to the local music scene. If perseverance and sacrifice is what it takes to make it in the music world, then 5 Stars for Failure is on the way to making their dreams come true.
