Bruce’s interest in music was initially inspired by bands such as 10 Years After, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. However, during the early 1980’s he soon became interested in the acoustic guitar after hearing musicians such as Roy Harper, Bert Jansch and Michael Hedges. These artists prompted Bruce to spend the next 20 years exploring the guitar and developing his own particular style of playing. The end result is that his music tends to be a mix of styles giving rise to unique ambient instrumentals in which he experiments with different sound textures and guitar tunings. His music currently features on two compilation albums (‘Songs from the Hill–Vol. 2’ (2003), and ‘Aum42 Meditation Music’ (2004)). In June 2005 Bruce released his own solo album ‘Sunrise’.
